Touch Typing Courses for Children
Does your child need to learn how to touch type?
Children are never more than a few paces away from a keyboard and typing text rather than writing is a normal way of working for them. So if you are looking to help them type faster, without wasting time and energy looking down at the keyboard, you have come to the right place.
Does your child have dyslexia? - We can help with keyboard confidence and get them exam ready
If your child has a specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia, ASD or a visual impairment, writing by hand can stop their creativity. Touch typing is the single most effective way to help a child with a specific learning difficulty who may struggle with handwriting and getting their thoughts onto paper.
Option 1: Our Remote Tutor Supported Courses:
Our 12 Week online remote course is perfect for all children that wish to learn how to touch type including DofE Students.
Our tutors can adjust the course specifically for the needs of your child. Every week they will set their lessons, adjust the workload and give lots of praise and encouragement. The aim is for them to be computer confident and exam ready. For younger children or those with an SpLD, we recommend that parents support their child whilst they are having their lessons at home.
Option 2: Intensive Holiday Courses:
We run a live Zoom intensive touch typing course during the school holidays - so Easter, Summer, Christmas and during the half terms. We work in small groups with trained friendly tutors leading the sessions. Lessons run from 9am - 11am, Monday to Friday. The cost of this course is £225.00.
